Status of the Health Information Security & Privacy Collaboration (HISPC) Proposal Evaluation
In a May 23, 2006 news release, RTI announced that 22 states have signed agreements to join the HISPC project to address the privacy, security, and exchange of health information between states and U.S. territories. Twelve additional states and U.S. territories are expected to sign agreements within two weeks of the May 23 date. Introduction
- In February 2006, Research Triangle Inc.'s (RTI) released a Request for Proposals regarding Health Information Security and Privacy (HISPC). RTI is the contractor for a series of work subcontracts funded by AHRQ (Agency for Health Research and Quality) and the ONC (Office of the National Coordinator of Health Information Technology).
